This week, Lord Byron and kense were joined in the Urban Dubz studio by percussionist Dirty B, and played new music from L’Aroye, EVM128, Lyric L and Danny Kane, as well as a short sneak peek at a new track that Rogue Soul have been working on with Urban Dubz head honcho Jeremy Sylvester.
After heavy snow causing the Thursday show to be cancelled, Lord Byron managed to make it down to the studio on Saturday and dug through his old school UK garage collection to drop some serious heat. Joined in the studio by Jeremy Sylvester and Paul H, they played back-to-back and threw down a whole heap of absolute gems for over 3 hours.
Joined in the studio again by hype man Superbamz, the Rogue Soul team played new music from the CoOp crew, classics from studio chief Jeremy Sylvester, as well as house, garage and broken beat favourites.
With Lord Byron and kense playing without a hype-man this week, they got chance to play some more vocal tracks, including new music from the Roska Kicks & Snares camp, Selectors Assemble, Dego & Thylord, as well as classic broken beat, garage and soulful house.
This week’s stream was dedicated to Colonel Red’s new EP ‘Rhyme Travelling’, released this week, and saw him perform some of the tracks live, as well as Lord Byron and kense bringing the usual Rogue Soul liveliness.
Lord Byron and kense were joined this week by Byron’s good friend and legendary local hype-man Superbamz, who added another dimension of entertainment to the show, while they played new music from the likes of EVM128, Kaidi Tatham, Alex Phountzi and Roska, and classic broken beat and garage from deep in the archives.
Lord Byron represented Rogue Soul at their new home at Urban Dubz HQ, joined by vocalist extraordinaire Colonel Red, who performed exclusive freestyles and classic tracks, while Byron dropped the heat in the way that only he knows how. So big it needed to be split over two videos.
